Collision Repair Technology

Overview

This is a high-tech area that is designed to provide training for persons interested in learning how to repair damaged vehicles. Students will discover how to bring wrecked vehicles back to life by using the latest techniques and equipment available. This technical area features a Chief E-Z Liner frame machine, PPG paint system, the latest spray guns available, and an Omni down draft spray booth with an oven. Hands-on activities are mixed with the correct blend of theory to allow the students to master the techniques of frame repair, MIG Welding, painting and custom designs, dent removal, suspension systems, brakes, and electrical systems.

There are many career opportunities for students graduating from York Tech's Collision Repair Technology program.

What to Expect

This is a standalone program that does not rotate with any other programs. Students accepted into it will take Collision Repair Technology courses during all four years at York Tech, with the exception being students who participate in a co-op opportunity during their senior year.

Careers

Uniform

Students at York Tech are required to wear a uniform at all times. While in their shop classes, they must wear the uniform designated by the program instructor. At all other times, students may wear their shop uniform OR York Tech apparel, which is sold through the School Store and the Fan Shop. Please review the Student Handbook for a full explanation of the dress code.
