Summer School

Overview

York Tech will conduct a summer school program for students in Grades 9-12 who failed academic subjects during the 2025-26 school year. This is an opportunity for students to recover credit(s) toward grade-level promotion. Students may only recover two courses during summer school. All but one course will be offered through Keystone Credit Recovery's (KCR) online format. The online courses are $219 each. The only course being recovered through Keystone Credit Recovery's print format is the civics course. This course is $169, which includes a workbook.

Dates and Times

Work sessions will begin on Monday, June 22, 2026, and end on Friday, July 17, 2026. They will be held from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. in York Tech's Media Center.

  • Session One: June 22-25, 2026

  • Session Two: June 29-July 2, 2026

  • Session Three: July 6, 2026 and July 8-9, 2026

  • Session Four: July 13-17, 2026

Reimbursement Criteria

A maximum of two courses will be reimbursed. Reimbursement will be $219 per online course and $169 per print format course. The following criteria must be met in order to be eligible for reimbursement:

  1. Speak with your school counselor and get a course recovery form for approved courses.

  2. Attend on-campus work sessions hosted by the dean of summer school.

  3. Register with The Keystone School by June 19, 2026. (Keep a copy of the receipt/purchase order from The Keystone School indicating a purchasing date.)

  4. Attend Summer School orientation on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at 6 p.m. in the auditorium and speak with the dean of summer school. Families MUST complete and submit the reimbursement request form during orientation or no reimbursement will occur.

  5. Submit a copy of the receipt/purchase order from The Keystone School by Monday, June 29, 2026, indicating a purchasing date on or before June 19, 2026. This must be sent to the dean of summer school via email or hard copy. It may be a screenshot of your bank statement. (This is for paperwork processing purposes; reimbursement is also contingent on timely submission, passing the course, and sufficient workday attendance.)

  6. Attend at least three days of in-person, on-campus work sessions.

  7. Submit all course work by Friday, July 17, 2026. Proof of submission for print courses must be emailed or given in hard copy to the dean of students. This can be a screenshot. (No proof of submission is needed for online courses.)

  8. Receive a passing score for the recovery course based on York Tech’s grading scale.

No reimbursements will be processed after Aug. 28, 2026, because the Business Office will have transitioned to the budget for the 2026-27 school year.
